Vertical Farming
Sophisticated, urban as well as high-tech vertical farming is one of several future key solution and mitigation strategies to advance in achieving food security and essential goals related to environmental sustainability. Presently, vertical farming has the potential to surpass crop yield of conventional soil-based farming by more than one hundred times. Advances in technology will only further widen this gap. Main areas are hydroponics, aquaponics and aeroponics.
In order to accelerate the adaptation and deployment of vertical farming in South East Asia and especially in Singapore, Agri-Business and Consultancy Pte. Ltd. has officially been awarded to represent the interests and aspirations of the globally acting Association for Vertical Farming (AVF). Our aim is to build strong, local networks for further exchange, cooperation and to foster investments and advancements in R&D. However, equally important is our business development support and the promotion of the practical deployment and use of vertical farming systems in the field. We aim to be your trustworthy partner in assisting you in commercializing this technology in Singapore and throughout South-East-Asia.
What we offer? Our value contribution is based on our detailed holistic understanding of large scale agronomy, especially crop and vegetable production, including plant nutrition, plant physiology and nutrient cycles, and how to integrate and operate this in large scale, highly automated, complex vertical farming systems. We have a deep, theoretical as well as operational understanding of environmental control systems for light, CO2, temperature, relative humidity and other factors that are essential to drive and control growth, productivity and product quality of the cultivated crops.
Who and what we want? We are looking for technology and/or JV partners as well as investors who are driven by a strong, purposeful sustainability agenda. In particular, we are inviting system suppliers and venture partners that contribute know-how and technology for vertical farming systems or capital or both. We would promote and assist you in developing the go-to-market-strategy for the VF systems and assist you in the commercialization of vertical farming technology, provide operational assistance, and be your local partner, distributor and or your local, competent point of contact in South-East Asia.
